The Banded Pennant (Celithemis fasciata) is a dragonfly found in North America, in the Pennant genus of dragonflies. The extensive, sharply defined black markings on its wings are distinctive, though the pattern varies considerably; individuals from the northern part of its range tend to have less wing coloration.[1]
It is small, being about 33 mm (1.3 in). It lives around ponds, lakes, and sand bottom lakes ditches.
